Mid Michigan College’s CDL Short-Term Training combines classroom and hands-on learning methods. You stay engaged, involved, and motivated throughout the training, and learn key functions of vehicle systems, including diesel engines, auxiliary systems, brakes, drive train coupling systems, and suspension systems. Topics such as Federal and State requirements, safe and efficient operation, and the need for permits are also covered. Training wraps up with practice maneuvers and operations on a designated range and public roadway.
